We price our individual cheeses per 100g, but note that our minimum selling quantity per cheese is 200g. Choose the quantity you require and the price will be adjusted accordingly.

Product Description

This wedding cheese cake incorporates the following local cheeses:

(bottom tier upwards)

3 X Blagdon Blue Truckle - A creamy local cow's milk cheese, streaked with blue veins but not over-powering on the palate. The mould ripened finish, gives this cheese a fantastic artisan appearance that will compliment any cheese cake. This truckle contains approximately 250g worth of cheese.

(third of bottom tier) Northumberland Nettle - This is one of our local Northumbrian cheeses made on the Blagdon estate. It is a very smooth, creamy cheddar which is not too strong, this making it appealing for a wide range of palates. Nettle cheese is made with real herbs and nettles, that dont sting! Very popular among children. 

(third of bottom tier) Northumberland Smoked - Another one of our local cheeses. This is a very creamy, mild, smoked cheddar cheese which holds a smooth, long lasting finish, a perfect balance between cheddar cheese and smoked cheese. Due to its mild taste, it is also very popular with all ages.

(third of bottom tier) Northumberland Chilli - This local cheese is a combination of the creamy Northumberland Nettle cheese and the fiery kick of red chilli. Northumberland Chilli is our mildest chilli cheese so, makes a great addition to any cheese wedding cake as it still suitable for a range of palates.

(first tier) Half of Northumberland Hadrian - This delicious creamy cheddar is produced using pasturised cows milk and vegetarian rennet. This cheese is combined with caraway seeds, which stimulates and cleanses the palate. Hadrian is dry and sophisticated.

(first tier) Half of Northumberland Original - Made on the Blagdon Estate, using locally sourced cows milk. Original is made in the Gouda style, the curd is scalded, washed, moulded and brine-bathed, then matured for 12 months. Northumberland Original cheddar has a moist, mellow texture and a very mild flavour.

(second tier) 600g Coquetdale - Coquetdale is a full fat, semi-hard cheese hand made on the Blagdon Estate. This mould-ripened cheese with a natural rind has a supple texture to its paste, and a rich complex flavour with a noticeably long fruity finish. A popular addition to any cheese cake.

(top tier) Elsdon Goats Truckle - A local Northumberland Goats cheese. Elsdon is a very traditional goats cheese with a firm texture, pleasant tang and a refreshingly clean finish.This truckle size contains 400g worth of cheese.

 Additions

This cheese wedding cake also includes one Neufchatel Heart (200g) - This brie heart-shaped cheese is very soft and creamy, unlike other soft-white-rinded cheeses, it has a grainy texture. This cows milk cheese that originates from Normandy is very easy to love and is a perfect addition to top of any celebration cheese cake. 

This whole wedding cake weighs approximately 8 kilos. This would accommodate approximately 90-100 people.
