Berwick Edge is named after the local ridge, forming the eastern edge of the Glendale Valley. This cheese is from Doddington Dairy and is often described as strong and fruity. It is smooth in texture and captures a variety of flavours, most notably fresh pineapple with a citrus tang. A cheese for those who appreciate strong flavours! Unpasteurised

An excellent product, reminds me of my childhood years. When we as kids used to fight over who had the rind! Very flavoursome, possibly an squired taste.

Highly recommend this cheese to anyone who likes tasty hard cheese, especially if you like Compte or Wengenalp mountain cheeses.

We were trying to track down a cheese (Smoked Cuddy's Cave) that we first tasted in Northumberland and found it at The Cheese Shop. While ordering it we thought we'd also try some Berwick Edge which is also from the Doddington Dairy. We're so glad we did as this is a great cheese - very smooth and strong flavoured with a firmer texture. Will definitely buy it again, and from The Cheese Shop.

I first had this cheese at 'The Ship' inn in Low Newton whilst on holiday in Northumberland and just had to have it again. Google led me to The Cheese Shop and I was delighted to be able to get it from them and they despatched it promptly. Am now enjoying it again with cheese biscuits and grapes! Yummy.
