The Cheese Shop, in Morpeth, Northumberland, is owned by two sisters, Angela Lumsden and Linda Kidd. Both have worked extremely hard over the years to learn their trade and to build up a rapport with their customers. They firmly believe in keeping the business as personal as possible - everyone is greeted with a warm welcome whether they buy or not! Our staff are trained to a very high standard, and we believe in treating our staff as family - we would never ask them to do anything we wouldn't do ourselves! We are always looking for new ways to improve our business, and always welcome comments and suggestions from customers. The Cheese Shop in Morpeth was establishedin 1990. One of the largest cheese retailers in the North East of England, selling over 150 different types of cheeses, British and Continental. The shop sells as many local products as possible. The famous Northumberland Cheeses from Blagdon, and the world recognised unpasteurised cheeses from Doddington, as well as Colston and Basset Blue Stilton, and six different strong Cheddars, 15 goats cheeses, lots of ewes milk cheeses, and even buffalo milk cheese, plus lots more in a selection that really is hard to beat. Voted one of the best cheese shops in the UK by The Independent 2004 Plus, we have even exported cheeses to Asmara to Ambassador Murray for The Queen's birthday party. The emails we received back from the Intercontinental Hotel in Asmara told us how much everyone enjoyed our cheeses! As well as our cheese, we also sell a wide range of quality cakes, preserves, chutneys, biscuits, wines and gift hampers - all of which can be delivered to your door at a small extra cost. Delivery made next day to ensure the products are fresh.
